WALLY'S LOG CABIN 

In the spring of 2020, the world went upside down. Unemployment rose higher in three months of COVID-19 then it did in two years of the Great Recession. My father's home construction and renovation business hit a halt during the pandemic. Many struggled, as did my father, but this is where our story begins.

My father stumbled upon a property along one of the trails and saw a brown hidden speck at the top of the mountain. When he found the place, it was in shambles, but he fell in love with the unique character and the natural world's peacefulness that surrounded it. The area was so beautiful and serene, the exact opposite of living in the tri-state area. He acquired the property and made the cabin his work for 2020.  For those that know him, the man can't go 24 hours without working. Walter renovated and restored the cabin from top to bottom. My father has a gift for rustic charm and  craftsmanship, and you will see this in the log cabin. He went even further and renovated the barn. The extension of the barn became home to his restored tractors and to a beautiful venue used for intimate weddings and other events. 

 

Inspired by the surrounding natural landscape, this restored, authentic log cabin comfortably accommodates up to six people and is complimented with two fireplaces, two handcrafted decks, a large patio & an outdoor fire pit to end a full day of outdoor adventures. The Sleeping Giant State Park is notorious for its numerous trails and tranquil views. This private staycation is one of a kind and is great for big groups or romantic getaways.
